According to Hitwise and Techcrunch UK Twitter is penetrating the UK market and becomes one of the top 300 mostly visited website (it’s a tenfold increase since one year).

Hitwise is also admitting that twitter could be even more famous considering that Hitwise tracking system doesn’t count page views outside of the website (for example iphones or third parties applications).

This last point makes me think about the ubiquity of Twitter, would it be crazy to believe that it could be the killer app helping internet to cross the chasm and finally fully empowers mobile device users ?
